Ongoing Developments

Following a meeting in March 2003, a steering group of 6 wildlife tourism businesses was established to move the development of the constitution and association forwards over the summer. The group met over the summer (May & July 2003).

With support from Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Scottish Enterprise, a constitution and initial action plan have been drafted.

At a meeting in October 2003, the steering group finalised the constitution and it was formally adopted. A name was also agreed for the group - Wild Scotland. An initial decision on codes of conduct was reached an Executive Committee meeting in November.
